Meet Christodora’s Junior Board

  • Chair

    Caroline is an archivist, researcher, and environmentalist with experience working at the intersection of history and science since 2017. She is passionate about leveraging data to drive change in environmental conservation and has presented research at the NYC OceanTech Summit and the Archives & Records Association of the UK and Ireland Annual Conference, with a specific focus on water and ocean data. In 2023, Caroline received the Ellen Brenner Fellowship at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) and in 2024 was accepted into the Climatebase Fellowship. 

    Caroline currently works as the Director of Data Science at High Tide Technologies, a water monitoring and reporting company based in Nashville, TN. She is the Co-Chair of the Associate Board at WINGS, an environmental nonprofit supporting women in science and exploration, and serves on the NYC Hub Steering Committee for Oceanic Global, an organization dedicated to improving ocean health. Caroline holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo and is obtaining a Master’s Degree in Data Analytics and Visualization from Pratt Institute School of Information.

    Barton is a director of revenue operations at Fiserv, the global leader in payments and financial technology, focused on equipping the next generation of entrepreneurs with the technology and tools they need to grow their businesses and achieve their goals. In prior roles, he managed media relations for the company’s executive leadership, led external communications for Clover, the company’s industry-leading payment platform for small and medium-sized businesses, and launched the Fiserv Back2Business Program, which has provided more than 1,800 grants to small, diverse-owned businesses in the U.S. and U.K. since 2020.

    Barton grew up in Wilmington, Delaware, attended high school at St. Paul’s School in Concord, New Hampshire, then St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He now calls New York City home. In his spare time, Barton continues his passion for playing squash, competing on the Squash Doubles Association (SDA) pro tour.

  • Kyle is an environmental photographer, filmmaker, writer, and athlete chronicling Asia’s high mountain regions. His work has been recognized by being an inaugural and two-time winner of China’s Wildlife Image and Video Competition, TEDx speaker, Peking University Outstanding Alumni, National Geographic Expert, sponsored by The North Face, jury for China’s annual Outdoor Environmental Awards, and more. He is also a member of the International League of Conservation Photographers, Explorers Club, ICIMOD Save our Snow Campaign, and the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations. 

    As a mountain athlete, Kyle ranks in the top 0.5% of trail runners globally and holds speed records running India’s Nanga Sago (18,950 ft), Kenya’s Mt. Kenya (16,355 ft), and China’s Minya Konka circuit (45 mi). Recently, he is also a co-founder of the China Outdoors and Conservation Network and happily full from eating Sichuan hot pot.

  • Thomas is currently an Associate at Fernweh Group, a private equity firm dedicated to the industrial technology sector. He also has experience covering renewable energy companies at Point72 in addition to sustainable trade/supply chain companies while he worked at a venture capital firm in Singapore. He is passionate about incorporating sustainability frameworks in investment management and pushing green-focused operational improvements at his firm's portfolio companies. 

    Thomas graduated from Duke University, where he received a Bachelor in Science degree in Economics with a concentration in Finance and a minor in History. In his free time, you can find him on hikes, playing tennis or in a sauna.

  • Grace is a sustainable fashion stylist. From up-cycled gowns to ethically handcrafted jewelry, Grace has made a significant impact on the Los Angeles red carpet scene, showcasing conscious fashion choices that set trends and inspire others. In addition to her styling work, Grace is a passionate advocate for sustainable living. She shares her insights and expertise through her blog, where she writes about various aspects of a sustainable lifestyle. 

    Grace earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a minor in Graphic Communication from Cal Poly - San Luis Obispo, blending her business acumen with creative flair.

  • Ryan is currently a Senior Associate at Cushman and Wakefield. He has focused on commercial leasing in Manhattan since graduating from the College of Charleston in 2018. Originally from Connecticut, Ryan has called New York City home his entire adult life. 

     

    In tandem with his professional life, Ryan founded a bicoastal Dinner club focused on bringing like-minded individuals together to promote artists, chefs and creatives in the New York and Los Angeles community. Outside of the city, Ryan has been captivated by the power of nature; camping, fishing and hiking from a young age. In his spare time, you can find him cooking, running or photographing his travels.

  • Kevin is currently Chief of Staff at Cambio, a climate tech startup using AI to decarbonize commercial real estate. Prior to Cambio, Kevin was a consultant at Bain & Company in NYC, worked in Strategy at climate tech startup Persefoni, and spent the 2020 election cycle doing Digital Organizing for the Biden campaign. Kevin studied Applied Mathematics & Computer Science at Harvard, where he completed a thesis using mathematical modeling to study the ramifications of solar geoengineering. He was born and raised in central New Jersey.   

    Outside of work, Kevin is a longtime lover of the outdoors since his Scouting days; he can be found distance running, hiking, or kayaking on the weekends. Kevin is also a portrait & nature photographer and briefly attempted a side career as an Instagram nature influencer. An avid reader, Kevin started a not-for-profit mentoring initiative called BookClub, focused on childhood literacy loss, during the COVID-19 pandemic. He shares his thoughts on developments in the climate tech & policy world in his periodical newsletter, the Climate Chapters.

  • Delaney is a software engineer and advocate for the protection of our oceans. She has always been fascinated by the potential of harnessing the power of data for pursuing climate solutions, and takes a special interest in how this can be applied to the ocean. Before diving into climate tech full-time, Delaney received her Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science with a minor in Earth and Ocean Sciences, and worked as a Security Software Engineer at Salesforce.

    In the past year, she founded a newsletter covering ocean-based climate solutions entitled Seaking Blue, and has been working on campaigns for the protection of the ocean with “chilli”, an app for streamlined climate activism. In May, she hosted the first ocean tech summit in NYC to help build a community of ocean innovators in the New York metropolitan area. She now works as a Software Engineering Consultant for companies at the frontier of marine carbon dioxide removal. In her free time, she enjoys running, attending lectures on history or climate, and political organizing.

  • Ryan is an Associate at ICG Strategic Equity, focusing on buyout transactions within the GP-led Secondaries market. Shortly after graduating from the University of Washington, he relocated to New York City from his hometown of Seattle.

    Growing up in Seattle, Ryan developed a passion for the outdoors. He explored the Pacific Northwest through hiking, camping, alpine and backcountry skiing, mountaineering, running, biking, fishing, and any other outdoor activities he could find. Ryan joined the junior board to support opportunities for New York City youth to discover and enjoy the outdoors, which has deeply enriched his own life.

  • Mary Jo, originally from Kingston Jamaica has always been a lover of the outdoors. Mary Jo currently works as an e-retail account manager for Loreal working on the IT Cosmetics brand. Her passions include building relationships with retailers and working cross functionally with different groups in the organization. In addition to her day-to-day job at Loreal, Mary Jo is a true believer in fitness at the center of her life. She works out every day and still competes in squash at a national level for Jamaica! 

    Mary Jo earned her Bachelor’s Degree in organizational business from George Washington University and her Masters in Supply Chain and logistics from Georgetown University.

  • Pat, based in NYC, is a full stack software engineer at Booz Allen, developing internal analyst tools and customer-facing web applications. Prior to Booz Allen, he worked as a data analyst and engineer at Wright Electric, an electric aircraft startup working to decarbonize the aviation industry.

    Outside of work, Pat loves playing video games and reading. Relaxing at the beach is his true passion, discovered while completing his undergraduate studies at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. He looks forward to bringing the same enjoyment of the outdoors he experienced in his hometown of Portland, OR, to NYC youth.

  • Julia is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst currently working at South Shore Psychological Services in the Boston area. She has spent the last decade providing behavioral health services to individuals with developmental disabilities in need of additional support. She specializes in providing early intensive behavioral intervention to children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder as young as one year old. She is passionate about providing neurodiverse affirming care and supporting her clients in increasing functional communication skills and reducing dangerous behavior. 

    Julia is also dedicated to working to combat systemic and structural inequities that disproportionately disadvantage marginalized communities. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her cat, being outdoors in nature, seeing live music and going to the theatre.

  • Matthias is a startup advisor, climate entrepreneur, writer, and Founding Partner at OnePointFive, a Forbes Next 1000 startup, and helps drive OnePointFive’s strategy, advisory work and is a lead facilitator for the OnePointFive Academy. He has 10 years experience working across Australia, Japan and the United States in management consulting and entrepreneurship roles, has given talks at COP28 on the future of the Climate Workforce and spoke at Yale University and New York University. He is a previous World Economic Forum  contributor writing on ESG investment and innovative climate technology solutions. 

    Prior to this, he served as Director of Finance and Software Development Lead for seed-funded company Cambium Carbon focused on deploying reforestation solutions in cities, and as a management consultant in operations and M&A strategy at PwC in Australia. Matthias holds a Master of Advanced Management from Yale School of Management, a Master of Business Administration from Hitotsubashi School of International Corporate Strategy, and degrees in Accounting and Economics from Monash University and University of Melbourne.
