Make a Difference in Your Own City

Christodora’s award-winning Community of Rising Environmentalists (CoRE) Saturday Program meets on Saturdays during the spring and fall to conduct science research projects, steward local parks, build community, and nurture future environmental leaders.

CoRE Goals

  • Engage in the conservation of New York City’s natural environment through stewardship activities 

  • Develop students familiarity with New York City’s local green and eco-friendly infrastructure initiatives and projects

  • Introduce New York City youth to environmental career pathways

  • Foster the next generation of environmental leaders through community-based science and community service
